Bio

Dr. Rachel Schwartz joined the Village Animal Clinic family in 2021. She has been practicing in the area for about 10 years. Dr. Schwartz is from New Jersey and migrated to south Florida by way of Southern California to be closer to family and friends. She received her undergraduate degree in 2001, from the University of Connecticut, where she was a collegiate swimmer and All American.

She received her veterinary degree from St. George's School of Veterinary Medicine, in 2007. She completed an internship in equine medicine, followed by practicing on horses for 3 years. She then transitioned over to small animal medicine and fell in love. She has been in the small animal medicine world for about 10 years. Her special interests are internal medicine, preventative medicine, surgery and acupuncture. Dr. Schwartz really enjoys helping her patients and developing long lasting relationships with her clients.

When she is not working, you find Dr. Schwartz spending time with her husband, Trent and their daughters, Lemon and Palmer. She enjoys boating, fishing, diving, riding her Peloton bike, and exploring new foods. Dr. Schwartz also enjoys spending time with her fur babies, Scuba, a yorkie mix, Seaquin, a teacup yorkie, and a cross eyed cat named Jersey.
